My Vodafone Journey

I joined Vodafone almost 14 years ago as a part-time Sales Adviser. I was in awe to work for Vodafone and since then, very proud to work for one of the biggest brands in the world. I instantly fell in love with Vodafone and its people and have always felt valued and supported as an individual.

During this time, I have worked with some amazing people especially my Line Managers, who have always encouraged me to progress my career in Vodafone.

I initially joined Vodafone whilst studying for my Graphic Design Degree but after completing my degree and moving to Vodafone’s Flag ship store on Oxford Street I decided to pursue a career within Vodafone. This was a very exciting time in my career as working in Oxford Street gave me so many different experiences, meeting Lewis Hamilton and attending many different festivals and events representing Vodafone.

I spent 5 years working in the Oxford Street Store; during this time, I worked my way up from Sales Adviser, Senior Sales Adviser, Assistant Manager to finally, Deputy Manager. This time in Oxford Street gave me many of the tools I use today to coach, develop and Lead successful and vibrant teams.

2011 was the year I was given the opportunity to lead my own store, in the City of London. This was challenging but extremely rewarding. My team and I became one of the most successful teams in London. Since then I have managed several other stores including Piccadilly, Oxford Street, Richmond and have now become a Senior Store Manager.

As a manager for Vodafone I genuinely care about my team and their own journeys within Vodafone, ensuring they have my support along the way just as I did, as I wish them to also be successful in whatever journey they choose.

Vodafone is a very diverse company to work for and I have always enjoyed learning about cultures, beliefs, religions and being part of an encouraging and inclusive culture. I am also very proud that we have 30% women in management and leadership roles and that we aim to increase this; Vodafone was also named this year (2017) in the Top 50 Employers for Women by the Times.

Working for a fast paced company can be challenging, however the support is always there as a fast pace and innovative environment is one that I thrive in.

Finally, the best part of working for Vodafone has always been the people and the friendly, welcoming and genuine love we share for Vodafone.
