My first job was in Halfords as a part-time Cashier; I then worked for business mobiles for a third party company for a short time, before joining Vodafone in November 2012 and I’ve never looked back!
During my interview I was asked where I would see myself in 5 years my answer was simple not where I started. I remember coming out of the interview and I couldn’t believe how much I wanted the job and a chance to be a part of the team I had just met.
My first position was a full-time Sales Adviser in the Cardiff Experience store. I joined in November, and with peak season on the horizon the team were very helpful in up-skilling me to provide a great customer experience. It really did feel like a family!
After two years of being a Sales Adviser it was time for a new challenge. I then became a Business Adviser which at the time was the only one in the South Wales Region. This involved looking after the store’s business customers and figures, but also supporting the Region to drive performance.
A year later I became an Assistant Manager and two years later I am now Acting Store Manager in the Cardiff store and I enjoying every second of it… Definitely not where I started 5 years ago and that’s all thanks to the teams, people and opportunities available at Vodafone!
I love my career and for anyone who is interested in progression, success and being part of a friendly and supportive Company; this could definitely be where it begins. Vodafone is always making sure the support is there, no matter what your journey may be, developing new ideas on how to work productively through providing the necessary tools to get the job done!
