Field Technician – Telecommunication 

Permanent – Field Based

We will give you the opportunity to build skills in both disciplines (Fixed / Mobile) and become a subject matter expert across our network. Connecting, delivering & engineering complex solutions to our Enterprise customers.

  • Install, commission network and customer solutions to Vodafone standards

  • The role holder will be expected to travel as part of their core day to day role, supporting business needs as and when required.

  • Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner, delivering the best in class solutions

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in providing service to customers and drive forward to resolution.

  • Maintain and work to Vodafone Quality Standards.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Skills and Experience)

  • Formal telecoms/electronic qualification or Recognised Apprenticeship.

  • Datacomms experience, specifically Cisco hands-on exposure

  • PDH and SDH Transmission knowledge

  • Technical with practical hands on experience of CPE, Ethernet, PDH, SDH, MSP, DWDM, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi,

  • Experience working with Cat 5, Fibre, Co-ax Cabling

  • Valid / full UK/EU driving license (Category B minimum)

  • Flexible attitude to working hours
