Technical Team Manager – Network Security
Bracknell or Birmingham preferred

Role Purpose:

Manage a team of 3rd line security experts working across several customer networks. Manage resources to ensure 24x7 network availability and project delivery on security platforms for our strategic customers. 

Manage incident and project escalations to a successful conclusion. Ensure effective delivery of performance dialogue activities and take an active role in the professional development of the team. Build relationships and improve engagement with our customers at a senior level. Deliver a robust life cycle management capability across our multi-vendor networks.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join & manage a highly skilled, and high performing team and really develop their strategic understanding regarding our customers.

Responsibilities:

Manage resources within the team to ensure continuity of service and on time project delivery
Lead and develop the team ensuring all are enabled to deliver to their full potential
Ensure performance and availability of the security networks meet the requirements of our internal and external customers 
Provide management reports as required to Head of Transport Operations.
Develop and maintain departmental processes and local work instructions to meet the requirements of our customers and improve the quality of service delivered. 
Ensure all security vulnerabilities are captured and appropriately mitigated through technical fix or risk management
Ensure effective life cycle management of hardware and software across our security networks

Security technology understanding (architecture/standards/risk/vulnerabilities)
