Our Team:

The service portfolio of the Submarine Cable landing stations team is at the canter of Vodafone international strategy and portfolio services. Cable landing stations team is responsible for the management of the cable landing stations for Vodafone, including the supervision and control of the wet plant, system monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution, active maintenance, creation of circuits and physical connections, new installation supervision and tests when necessary and NOC for some underwater systems. Also Cable landing station life cycle management of equipment and infrastructures that have been developed by the Submarine System Engineering team and other Vodafone teams like Apollo Cable System.

With us you will:
  • Manage cable landing station submarine systems. Attend NOC and incidences within the submarine cables. Provide remote hands and be on call when need.

  • Maintain knowledge and experience of the various aspects of the submarine equipment management.

  • Manage circuits from creation to development within the submarine team.
  • Coordinate and assist during incidences or under request of SSE Team.
  • Supervision and manage of submarine equipment.
  • Responsibility for control and planning, implementation support, operation and technical consultancy of all aspects of submarine systems.
  • Support project implementations

  • Monitor Network when required and attend Customers (NOC functions when need)

  • Liaise with other departments within Vodafone to support submarine activities.  

Apply if you have:
  • Demonstrable experience as a Field Engineer
  • Solid experience designing telecommunications installations.
  • Network manage experience
  • Experience of submarine transmission equipment (Knowledge or equipment currently in use by Vodafone would be an advantage)
  • Experience attending incidents
  • NOC expertise
