Title: Strategic Engagement Manager Data & Analytics
Location: London Paddington

As part of the Next Generation Data and Insights, Nucleus programme will roll out to all European markets in the next five years under the flag of Group BI. The main responsibility of the role is to drive change and integration across the local BI organisation by initiating, transforming and managing projects to increase cost-efficiency and availability of information to enhance business steering.   

 

The role will be responsible for the local market engagement and roadmap planning, agreeing when and how markets will be deploying Nucleus. This will require engagement at local CFO/CTO/CIO level, along with the head of Data and Analytics. The role will establish scope delivered by Group, which local transformation programmes are ongoing and agree the required budget estimates with the local team, creating a handshake of scope items.

 

With this portfolio, the role will keep the Exco updated via papers presented by the Group Financial Controller, and work closely with Finance Decision support to keep the overall business case (costs and benefits) updated. The role will also be responsible for the cross-market governance, driving programme-wide topics at Nucleus Strategic Programme board in their preparation, escalation and tenacious resolve.

 

Establishes the Nucleus rollout methodology in terms of group/LM team sizing, ensures Ready for Nucleus welcome package is created with harvests from all work streams, to support the onboarding of new markets and their initial knowledge gaps. 

 

The role is responsible for the alignment of scope of handover to the business operations, i.e. scaling of the organisation post Nucleus, and scope handshakes by the internal teams rendering the services.

What will you be doing?

  • Transparently drives all cross-market decisions in Strategic Programme Board, supporting the Head of the Programme.
  • Drives and negotiates an aggressively accelerated deployment roadmap with local C-suite and Strategic Programme Board
  • Drives and ensures a handshake with local C-suite on scope, budget and timeline of implementation.
  • Drives high-level solution direction for areas Nucleus will not deliver yet are required for local decommissioning, involving Group and local market teams. Drives to timely conclusion ratified at local SteerCo.
  • Accountable for traceability of overall business case about pre/post implementation views on effort and BAU scale of organisation and cost drivers.
  • Delivers Ready for Nucleus welcome package is and enforces its use by onboarding markets as part of scoping and team sizing.
  • Drives transparent impact of IT and business transformation including decommissioning on overall business case to Strategic Programme Board
     

Who are we looking for?

  • Experienced in managing complex global BI /billing systems/data warehouse projects, ideally with share service centre integration.
  • Extensive experience in Vodafone’s EVO delivery model
  • Breadth of telecoms experience
  • Managing complex multi-cultural project implementations covering Europe and Asia
  • Exposure to BI implementation programmes; at ease with the reporting and analytics IT architecture and IT delivery frameworks needed for BI projects
  • Proven project management experience in projects
  • Proven skills experience in scoping (gap analysis), planning (phasing, project releases), project budgeting (capex, opex, SI management), resource management (contractors, VF staff, SI resources) and people management skills of teams 
  • Excellent communications skills
