Technical Solution Architect
Manchester based

As a Technical Solution Architect within Technology Enterprise Services, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and support to a virtual team of highly skilled professionals in order to carry out detailed customer design, development, delivery and testing of bespoke, complex WAN solutions for Vodafone enterprise customers.

Expected of you?

Be able to translate customer business and technology requirements that can vary in detail, and produce high quality network solutions, at both high and low levels of detail.
Be able to deliver designs (LLD and HLD) to defined standards, often against challenging timescales.
Provide low-level discovery of existing solution components and become owner of the transition from existing to proposed solution.
Provide input to technical designs provided by other teams - a level of "cross-functional" technical knowledge is highly desirable.
Actively contribute to continual service delivery improvement and act as a thought leader in the department. 
Act as a SME and mentor to more junior design engineer colleagues.

Highly effective technical planning across  customer, internal and 3rd Party technical teams
Builds influential and effective relationships with technical, service and delivery teams
Effective management of internal and external teams
Significant experience of  fixed product market,  in depth understanding of complex customer solutions including UC, Contact Centre and LAN/WAN related technologies
Proven track record for delivery of large scale, complex projects delivering IT/Telco customer solutions; demonstrable leadership skills and organisational experience
Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
Enterprise Architecture Framework (e.g. TOGAF) knowledge
Strong project delivery methodology (e.g. PRINCE2) and framework (e.g. MSP) knowledge
Strong business process framework knowledge (e.g. ITIL)
Vendor professional accreditations preferred. 
Degree in engineering or scientific discipline
