Role Purpose:
 

Secure Connectivity allows Vodafone customers to be confidently connected and keep their families safe from threats while using our mobile and fixed services. Our consumer security solution is one of the most successful and evolving products, supporting our journey to a fully converged customer offering.


The Solution Architect is responsible for functional and technical analysis and specification, for platform-specific architecture and integration for all platforms in scope. Responsible for Feasibility Analysis, effort and cost estimates, and Architecture & Design of the given systems.


Accountable for major and minor release planning, development timeframes, development quality, reliability and performance of assigned platforms, for budget and efficiency to meet business marketing roadmap requirements.


Role is to keep abreast of current technology developments within the role scope including handsets, operating systems, business applications, middleware and networks. Provide information to stakeholders as required.


Role is responsible to provide main interface to suppliers and development teams, own and build central information/centre of competency within the Vodafone Group, own all major development issues and resolve with supplier. Work with deployment/lifecycle stakeholders on a consulting basis.

 

Build and maintain matrix managed relationships with relevant counterparts in product impacted companies, at the same time being a core member of our Product Squad closely working with the Product Owner.

With us you will:
  • Have deep knowledge of agile development process and methodologies (planning, tracking, contingency management…) with Preferably experience in several areas of software development lifecycle (analysis, development, operation).
  • Good understanding of the mobile industry especially of Vodafone Services from a technical and commercial point of view

  • Self-motivated individual with good organisational, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills
 Apply if you have:
  • A certification achieved in recognised Solution Architecture framework or Enterprise Architecture, e.g. TOGAF and good understanding of mobile Apps / backend design.
  • Educated to University degree standard in Technology and/or Telecommunications disciplines

  • Architecture framework, e.g. TOGAF
 We’re happy if you:
  • 8 years’ experience in engineering / development (Network or IT) with minimum 5 years’ design/architecture experience in a telecommunications environment
