The Digital Operations & Automation team has been created to be the Centre of Excellence driving the automation and analytics transformation path for Vodafone UK.  This is a critical function to move Vodafone UK from a transaction based operation, to a highly automated insight- and data-driven organisation.

The Senior Automation Consultant is a new role.  You will work within a squad alongside a Scrum Master, Product Owner, business users and functional, technical experts to translate business opportunities into analytics and automation solutions.

Key aspects of the role:

- Work with a Product Owner and business experts to translate business challenges into practical automation solutions.
- Contribute to business case analysis and quantification.
- Interface with technical delivery teams to brief on, refine, and prioritise the requirements for the solution.
- Validate high-level designs, deliverables and timelines to meet and manage business expectations.
- De-mystify technically complex solutions to ensure the Product Owner and end-users understand how their requirements will be met, and ensure they receive an excellent customer experience.
- Create and define key performance indictors to measure the business value delivered by automation and analytics initiatives.
- Validate and communicate the business value delivered by analytics and automation solutions.

What is important to us?  

- Experience in automation solutions, in particular human guided automation and/or business process automation.
- Proficient in Agile development methodologies.
- Proficient in Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Technical knowledge of software automation frameworks used for business process automation, case management automation and task / workbook automation, such as Pega Systems, Software AG, Cortex, Resolve Systems, and BMC Atrium.
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills; ability to build trust and rapport, and adapt style to the audience
