Role Purpose

We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and insight hungry individual to cover an exciting role on the mass postpaid segment team. The successful candidate will need to generate and analyse insights to create customer awareness, interest and demand.  He / she will be responsible for building engaging proposition(s) to delight our customers and attract new business. This individual will take ownership and responsibility for delivery and success of our portfolio, working through varied teams to optimise sales capability and customer experience deliverables.

The Postpaid Propositions Segment Manager is responsible for understanding mass Postpaid customer’s behaviour, usage and preferences to ensure we consistently offer compelling and differentiated proposition(s).  The successful candidate will gather market intelligence, understand customer needs, competitive benchmarking and create an insight framework to translate these into a compelling marketing strategy, ensuring Vodafone continue to win in the market.
This role will be accountable for driving the delivery of the mass Postpaid segment market share, revenue and base targets ensuring Vodafone delivers innovation and compelling propositions to promote advocacy through existing customers and attract new segments to Vodafone.

The successful candidate will need to develop a balanced scorecard to drive customer advocacy and growth while ensuring the best interests of our channels, commercial ambitions and customer experience are delivered.  It is critical that the candidate collaborates with key stakeholders (comms, brand, insights) to ensure business / commercial alignment and confidence in execution plans.

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities

Impact on the business
  • Defining the mass postpaid marketing plan and aligning the proposition roadmaps to address all relevant segments and all competitors.
  • Responsible for driving the delivery of the mass postpaid base and revenue through multiple sales channels.
  • Define and develop the mass postpaid marketing roadmap based on market and customer Insight (reflecting Exec team strategic priorities and liaising with commercial managers to ensure alignment and delivery).
  • Work with Vodafone Insights team to analyse customer and market data to identify market trends and insights which will be used as the basis for developing appropriate segment marketing and sales strategies
  • Identify issues which may impact on Segment performance e.g. new market entrants, disruptive technologies, competitor propositions/sales channels and develop and amend sales strategies to deal with same
  • Seek and support ways to improve customer experience, drive entanglement through mobile propositions

Customers, supplier and third parties
  • Champion customer-centric thinking by segment from marketing strategy definition and proposition planning through to delivery
  • Ownership for idea generation, development and delivery and management information for all segments working towards development of individual P&Ls

  • Candidate needs to have excellent communication and influencing skills
  • This is a high profile role, the candidate needs to demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills and be comfortable presenting to key stakeholders on the senior leadership team.
