Role purpose 

As a Scrum Master you'll develop and lead high-performing, multi-discipline feature teams, instilling in them a clear vision and a passionate drive to succeed. You will ensure best practise is utilised, Sprint & product backlogs are used correctly, manage the daily meetings for the team and protect them from distractions and disruptions.   

Key role will be to ensure the Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) are met in each sprint.  

Aiming to build great functionality that meet our stakeholders needs and problem statements.   

From time to time you will need to assist the Product Owner and business teams with recording & translating requirements from the PO into technical descriptions for the development team, build out the acceptance criteria in the User Stories, organising the requirements into EPICS were applicable. 

This requires aspects of Business Analysis and Business Process Architecture, the ability to understand and translate business problems into technical activities and vice versa.

  • Challenging and improving the operation of the team, driving their performance and capability to succeed.
  • Embedding operating models that value ownership, responsiveness, predictability and transparency.
  • Mentoring and executing Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery best practices, embedding DevOps behaviours and principles driving a model of continuous delivery.
  • Ensuring the path is clear for your team, removing blockers, facilitating discussions, enabling seamless communications and working with the Product Owner to clarify the product backlog ahead.
  • Ensuring your teams drive their deliveries with quality, innovation and automation at the heart
  • Serve as a coach & a mentor for the team
Experience Desired
  • Experience of working in an Agile development environment
  • Manage senior stakeholders, influence decisions & scope 
  • Customer insight and ability to problem solve issues to deliver new functionality 
  • Working and developing an agile team 
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills to provide volume forecasts into estate planning
