Key Accountabilities:
  • Finance Operations lead for Smart Funding IFRS15 reporting requirements. This includes reviewing and validating the monthly result.
  • Preparation and posting of month end journals and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Reviewing and assessing new projects and customer journeys to understand whether they impact Smart Funding calculations and reporting.
  • User acceptance testing for all new customer journeys introduced.
  • Six monthly discount reviews.
  • Explaining the Smart Funding result each month to key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring SOX controls are designed and operated effectively every month both for controls owned by you but also controls owned outside of Finance Operations.
  • Data Analysis each month to ensure the completeness and accuracy of data being used to calculate the Smart Funding Financial adjustments.
  • Quarterly balance sheet forecasting with commentary.
  • Face to face presentation of results and explanation of performance with customers and Finance team.
  • Work with the Compliance Team to agree SOX controls for impacted systems and processes.
Must have technical / professional qualifications
  • Part/Newly qualified (CIMA or equivalent) ideally with relevant business experience
  • Experience in driving change and process re-engineering
  • Understanding of IFRS 
  • Experience in dealing with multiple complex demands from various areas of the business and various levels of seniority
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of the mobile telecommunications industry an advantage
