Project Manager

The future is exciting. Are you ready to join our Enterprise Operations as our next Project Manager?

The role
You will be responsible for delivering end results that can demonstrate a clear business benefit by identifying and delivering solutions, as well as providing advice based on your technical professional experience.

You will input to and influence decisions within your own discipline / work area and provide specialist skills and knowledge within the area. You will also choose, implement and deliver the best solutions to give the required end results and help to define the standards & procedures around which your teams will operate.

The projects range from simple, through to complex / multi-work streams. There are up to 27 teams in Vodafone UK who contribute to successful project deliveries – i.e. Customer Service & Operations, Business Intelligence, Online / Digital, Pricing, Sales & Marketing, Product Managers, Technology services, IT etc.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership
• Accountability for the delivery of the end results of the tasks you perform
• Input into decisions and planning by defining processes and plans within specialist discipline
• Problem resolution based on analysis of factual information, selecting solutions based on your technical experience
• Manage the delivery of operational programmes within the area you work in
• Defines scope, business objectives, requirements and deliverables that stakeholders expect
• Tracks benefits, costs, invoicing authorisations, actuals & rolling forecasts

About you:
• In depth understanding of processes, objectives and procedures
• Strong communication and diplomacy skills to persuade and influence
• Project Management experience
• Experience with telecoms products, networks, applications, processes, managed services etc.
• Understanding of financials – costs, benefits
• Prince 2 / PMP / MSP beneficial
