The Finance Transformation team is responsible for delivery of significant programmes of change in Finance Operations. The role is to define, plan, manage and deliver projects in the programme, working with subject matter experts within Finance Operations and managing dependencies on other project teams and third party suppliers. The role will manage the transition of business change arising from the implementation of the IFRS 16 change programme into the Financial Operations area. Key Accountabilities: Work closely with all areas of Finance and the business as a whole to understand their needs and develop recommendations for business improvements. Lead complex Finance Business Improvement projects. Lead cross functional / virtual teams across all impacted business areas to drive successful project delivery. Business Case preparation. Effective management of budget and costs, working with Senior Business Improvement Manager / Senior Programme Manager and Project Sponsor. Define and communicate the impact of the project in terms of changes to organisation, process and technology. Build rapport with internal and external 3rd parties to drive cost-effective and efficient delivery of in/outsourced deliverables. Build and lead the cross functional team in Vodafone, ensuring they are focused on delivery success in line with the Vodafone Way. Build strong relationships within the project team and nurture trust and a spirit of empowerment. Execution. Manage the delivery of change initiatives, ensuring work packages are on time, within scope and to budget, enabling optimum benefits realisation. Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies, proactively intervening to remove roadblocks. Challenge the status quo and drive transformation of the business through an innovative project delivery approach.
Qualifications
Must have technical / professional qualifications: Project Management experience including relevant industry qualification/certification (APM, PRINCE2 etc.) Track record of delivering real business change & solutions to complex business requirements through innovative concepts involving multiple 3rd party suppliers and partners Leadership experience and qualities – ability to drive change through directing and motivating cross functional project teams across international boundaries and different cultures Ability to work in constantly changing environment ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification would be useful but not essential Microsoft Project desirable Corporate at Vodafone Well – we work within the heart of our business, providing top notch support, expertise and guidance across our UK and Group operations.
