As a member of the Open Devices Squad you will work with our development teams, managing their activities and backlog to deliver the best TV product for our customers across mobile, Smart TV and Web. This is a pivotal role which involves responsibility for the resulting product and its quality, as well as ownership over backlog prioritisation and alignment with key product stakeholders in the agile ecosystem.


You will:

• Own and prioritise the development backlog for one or more Vodafone TV products within the Open Devices Squad
• Manage internal and 3rd party development houses on a senior level, driving excellent output quality
• Responsible for the alignment with product stakeholders within the agile tribe, discussing negotiating and deciding on what gets done when
• Engage with clients and partners on an independent level, understanding their needs and limitations
• Oversee the successful deployment of Vodafone TV apps across multiple markets and manage in-life maintenance and improvements



It would be nice if you have
• Experience of preparing and publishing apps (Tizen, WebOS, iOS, tvOS, Android/Android TV) and good understanding of all the capabilities of their respective developer consoles
• Should have a strong knowhow on User Experience and Usability and be able to apply it to the product
• Proficient with debugging tools to support our development teams in validating defects
• Preferably have understanding of core elements of app architecture such as: CDNs, encoding, DRM and streaming protocols
• An understanding of the technical and UX limitations of low performing devices would be highly desirable

You must have…
• Relevant experience owning a product area
• Demonstrable experience managing software teams and launching products in market
• Exposure to all phases of the  product lifecycle from ideation to release, with specific experience working with stakeholders within Design, Architecture and QA teams
• Proven experience working in projects using Agile (preferably Scrum)
