The wider team and the role of Principal Architect is to define and lead the overall architecture strategy and roadmap for all aspects of Infotainment covering the three product verticals of Vodafone Start, Content Partnering and Vodafone ID. The architecture will be developed to provide innovative solutions that meet the market and global business requirements, whilst ensuring compliance with the Global Architecture standards and design principles. Part of this role is to contribute and enhance the omni-channel approach of the digital telco initiative and explore new disruptive ways of working across mobile, Set Top Box, fixed and all digital channel customer touchpoints.

With us you will:
Own the governance in respect of architecture when working with Distinguished Engineers, other Principal Architects and other technical expert stakeholders.
What you can expect from us:
To lead the architecture domain in the Infotainment department and provides guidelines, direction and senior expert support to several senior architects and technical experts that work in the different verticals of Vodafone Start, Vodafone ID and Content Partnering and well as to 3rd party Partners. As the lead technical representative for Infotainment, it is vital to stay connected inside and outside the Vodafone Technology community, with industry experts to understand the latest technology trends and drive innovative solutions. Strong analytical, functional, technical and communication skills are imperative for this role. The role will also lead the governance and evolution of the platforms and strategy.
Apply if you have:
Strong knowledge of architecture best practices and design patterns. These include:
OAuth, OpenID Connect, GSMA Mobile Connect and other standards for authorization
Micro-Services (or Self-Contained-Services)
API definition (rest / soap) and API integration open programmes (including provisioning, login, charging and transaction)
Cloud oriented architectures (AWS, Azure and OpenStack)
Deep knowledge of cross-platform architecture, technology and platforms (e.g. Web / Android / iOS / etc.)
Big data (Hadoop, Adobe, Adobe targeting)
We’re happy if you:
Have a balanced mix of comprehensive technical and business skills
Extensive experience in designing complex, distributed, secure and scalable architecture solutions
Excellent Knowledge of enterprise solutions and architectures (i.e. cloud, big data, security, virtualization, storage, etc.)
