Our Team:

Joining us as a Portfolio Operations Manager, you will work across multiple technology functions across Vodafone Business Products and Solutions (VBP&S) and Group Business Transformation. In this role, you will ensure operational support and drive standard practices to the adoption of tools such as EPPM, Jira and Confluence to help align delivery and optimise the flow of value through the portfolio, from planning to development to implementation of our platforms and solutions.

With us you will:
  • Establish the strategy and plan for the Portfolio Operation capability and provide leadership and guidance to a team of four portfolio co-ordinators based offshore in Romania.

  • Work with various Business and IT stakeholders to gain confidence to develop, establish and adopt project management standards, procedures, guidance and KPIs to embed them consistently across the various technology functions and portfolios.

  • Create a central and standard portfolio capability across VBP&S, by designing portfolio interaction models and standardised ways of working, aligned with the lean agile principles.

  • Drive the adoption of Portfolio, Programme and Project strategic tools such as EPPM, JIRA & Confluence to support data driven decision-making. Focussing on the following areas, Data Quality, Time-sheeting, Training, On/off boarding of end users), set up of portfolio structures.

  • Report on lessons learnt and provide feedback into methods, process and change capability to drive the business forwards.

Apply if you have:
  • Extensive experience/understanding of project and programme management

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and business transformation experience

  • The ability to collaborate and influence across a matrixed organization, regardless of job level

  • Excellent grasp over utilising Project and Portfolio Management tools on a day to day basis, all or at least one of the following – PPM, Planview or Clarity

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills working with multinational internal teams

  • A proactive mind set and be motivated to deliver exceptional results


We’re happy if you have:

  • Business Intelligence know-how

  • Process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)

  • PMI or PRINCE II knowledge or certification
  • eTOM, ITIL foundation
  • Jira & Confluence
