About the role

A new opportunity has arisen in our central network demand team to manage day to day control of Opex budgets and trackers for Wayleaves, Leased Lines and Colocation for Networks whilst ensuring adherence to UK Finance Governance with specific regard to raising PO’s, processing GRNs and ensuring Vendors Invoice accurately and on time.

It`s an exciting place to be, your input into identifying efficiencies and tracking of Networks ‘fit4growth’ initiatives will be key as well as forecasting projected out-turn for the year.
 
As a Networks Demand – Governance and Cost Control Specialist, your main responsibilities will include:
  • Daily interface with finance to define, create and phase Opex trackers 
  • Daily engagement with Vendors to provide correct purchase order details and ensure invoicing is correct
  • Tracking and reporting Leased Lines; Colocation & Wayleave P&L
  • On-going alignment with Fit4Growth initiatives
  • Adhoc reporting
  • Month end accruals
  • Providing variance analysis into finance for formal month end reports
  • Resource tracking and forecasting: alignment with HRBP & Finance on headcount
  • GRN activity in SAP
  • Vendor dispute tracking and resolution
As a Networks Demand Specialist, your skills, knowledge and qualifications would include some of the following:
  • A finance qualification would be beneficial in order to explain financial information to non-finance managers but previous experience and a good understanding of financial controls and terminology will be sufficient.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP
  • Self-motivated and takes the initiative and spots opportunities
  • Flexible with the ability to maintain effectiveness in a changing environment
  • Able to work at speed across multiple data sources without loss of accuracy
  • Ability to deliver under difficult circumstances
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to work effectively across the business
