That’s why we’re investing heavily in it and we need talented people to help us deliver the next wave of innovation.   About the role A great new opportunity has arisen for a key leadership role within the Customer Insight & Analytics team leading the Data Analytics domain to fully exploit available data through delivery of our big data vision.  Your role will involve improving our view of network optimisation, customer experience, investment and competitive position.  Developing advanced approaches and techniques utilising new technology (including visualisation techniques) to drive enhanced understanding and linking of network, customer and financial information.  You will be driving enhanced decision making through provision of self-service tools and innovative approaches to existing problems.  Working cross functionally to understand requirements and effectively leading the development path of key software tools through effective expectation setting, delivery and assurance. As a Networks Manager – Data Analytics, your main responsibilities will include:You will be accountable for Data Analytics strategy and delivery of agreed functionality, gathering user requirements, roadmap development, and utilising big data in the best way.  You will manage local technology budgets required for implementing the local aspects of the Network Data & Advanced Analytics Programme and the relevant Data Analytics domain and resources.Key contributor to Networks tools strategy with key ownership of components related to advanced Data Analytics and delivering against our big data vision.  An ambassador for Big Data you will be accountable for ensuring the wider business is aware of the data collected from the Fixed and RAN network and that any synergies are exploited for commercial advantage. Qualifications As a Networks Manager - Data Analytics, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:Experience with different database structures, including Hadoop and SQL Experience with data warehousing, campaign managers, visualisation toolsHands on expertise with Big Data technologies and machine learning algorithmsExperience working cross-functionally and driving collaboration between teams and functions; through use of effective stakeholder management skills, internal and external (customer/supplier)Excellent communication skills – able to with stakeholders confidently and effectively; able to explain complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand.Strong knowledge of optimisation methodologies and associated tools including OSS/EMS platforms and connectivityTeam Leadership/Management skills along with the ability manage local budgets.Why Vodafone?Joining Vodafone is more than a job, what we do matters.
