Our Network Engineer Level 4 Apprenticeship combines online learning, classroom training and on-the-job experience to develop real world skills using cutting edge technology. Whether you’re fresh out of an IT education or you’re already employed in the tech sector looking to take a step up, it’s a perfect fit for you.
This programme concentrates on network design, advanced connectivity and advanced security. This gives you the opportunity to develop and enhance your technical skills, ensuring you have the technical grounding needed to become a skilled Network Designer, Systems Engineer or Network Administrator.
On successful completion of the programme, you will gain the following qualifications:
•Network Engineer Level 4 Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) – Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 R2
•Choice of one Microsoft MOC on demand course
Network Engineers design, install, maintain and support communication networks within an organisation to maintain high levels of operation in order to provide maximum performance and availability for their users. They will understand network configuration, cloud, network administration and monitoring tools, and be able to give technical advice and guidance.
You could be involved in:
•Delivery of Specialist technical support during core hours and via on-call rota for managed network devices across multiple client environments
•Early-life support of new solutions and customer on-boarding activities
•Planning, assessment and implementation of complex change requests Define and embed consistent operational processes to support on-going activities, driving improvements where issues are identified.
•Subject matter expert during Product Development Lead incident resolution matrix teams to restore service in complex cross-technology environments.
•Determining root cause.
•Work with Operational Efficiency manager to identify and address root cause of high volume incidents.
•Work with Vodafone technology services to identify and run efficient value add management and monitoring solutions for customers.
•Support operations teams through correlation, analysis, and prioritisation of event data to focus on business-critical issues for customers.
•Support customers through the timely resolution of incidents working to agreed service levels.
•Develop and broaden platform and operating system skills within team through coaching, mentoring and the creation of high quality technical support documentation
What you will need
•Have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (including Maths and English Language)
•Have completed your Level 3 studies (A-levels, BTEC Level 3 or Level 3 Apprenticeship) by September 2018
•Ideally a Level 3 qualification in an IT-related subject
•Be eligible to work in the UK and will not be in full-time education by September 2018
•Have lived in the UK and/or EU for 3 years prior to September 2018
