Our carrier teams drive Vodafone's global trading of network capacity and international voice, SMS and signalling services.  Joining us as a Market Development Manager you can be part of our empowering our Carrier (VCS) function. The Future is exciting. Ready?

As our Market Development Manager you will be provide an expert view both technically and commercially by supporting sales in the development of customer opportunities and the closure of profitable and sustainable new business across the collaboration and OTT customer segment. You’ll be highly collaborative and work not only with customers, suggesting innovative solutions but also working closely with portfolio managers to really drive solutions.

 
With us you will: 
  • Build a detailed understanding of customers business and technical requirements to determine how these can be met by existing VCS products & services, becoming an advocate for their requirements back into Vodafone to help drive the development of future services

  • Use technical knowledge, market Intelligence and data to support sales in opening / developing conversations with customers that create opportunities for the sale of cloud numbering and other emerging VCS services.

  • Build a central repository within VCS of use cases, technical information, customer testimonials and talking points that can be used by sales to develop these opportunities

  • Act as a SPOC supporting sales on all questions / queries that come from this customer set regarding the VCS offering and help sales to close deals

  • Support a high volume of customer engagements 
Apply if you have:
 
  • Expereince in a technical / consulting sales role
  • The ability to think strategically about the immediate and longer term complex business and commercial needs of customers and the solutions that VCS could offer in the Cloud Numbering, Interoperability and expanding into Next Gen application integration

  • A strong team player and collaborator with excellent written and oral communications skills

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, with a pragmatic approach to ensure the job gets done

  • Experienced with Contract negotiations
