Our Team:

The Lean Portfolio Manager is a key role within the VBPS Lean Portfolio Management Centre of Excellence. In the role, the Lean Portfolio Manager will engage with key business stakeholders to ensure that strategic business priorities are planned, funded and delivered via the agile delivery process. The role-holder uses their understanding of the key strategic themes, technology roadmaps and the business needs to coordinate the development of the product and transformation portfolios through close collaboration with the delivery teams and business stakeholders.

With us, you will:

Be responsible for the following:

  • Portfolio Planning
  • Linking business strategy to delivery – Ensures alignment of technology and product strategies to understand practice synergies and provide recommendations.

  • Working across Product Practices, Vodafone Business IT (VBIT) and business stakeholders to create and align portfolio plans and create a single VBPS Portfolio Plan.

  • Aligning technical and business impacts of the Portfolio Plan with stakeholders

  • Assessing and managing portfolio risks against the Portfolio Plan.

  • Capacity Planning
  • Maintaining a view of cross-portfolio macro level capacity and demand to support top down planning activities

  • Maintaining a rolling view of shared Agile Release Train (ART) capacity vs projected cross-portfolio demand to support mid-term capacity planning for all ARTs

  • Governance
  • Running portfolio governance processes.
  • Investment & Funding
  • Tracking, aligning & preparing cross portfolio Capex plans

  • Coordinating annual budget cycle
  • Tracking and assessing benefits realisation in support of Capex plans and overall portfolio risk management.

Apply if you have:
  • Demonstrable experience in managing complex relationships

  • Expertise in project/programme management and associated tools and techniques for both Agile and Waterfall delivery

  • Ability to understand, support and articulate complex Business change processes, data-sets and governance

  • Experience of managing budgets and business cases
  • Have Agile project/programme methodology experience including:

  • SAFe
  • Kanban
  • Scrum

  • Recognised Project / Programme Management accreditation e.g. Prince 2, PMP or MSP
