As an integral member of the VSS finance team, the role will initially be heavily involved in a project to design & implement new mobile billing systems & processes. Once this project is complete, the role will become extremely diverse providing support in the management and control of all financial KPIs. It will be essential to have a questioning but supportive approach in order to drive the VSS P&L performance.
Involvement in the design and implementation of new mobile billing systems and processes. This will include; analysis of current mobile billing systems and tariffs, involvement in design workshops & assuring data migration from legacy systems.
Support and influence financial and commercial performance for VSS, collaborating with and challenging the sales/service/delivery teams.
Drive VSS teams to deliver targets for revenue, margin, opex, capex & cash collections.
Clear and concise articulation of financial information to non-financial stakeholders both internally and externally.
Regular forecasting and reporting for all financial KPIs, identifying any risks and opportunities and ensuring that relevant teams take appropriate action.
To liaise with customers in order to maintain a great relationship and ensure invoice and payment process is effective.
Work closely with Financial Operations, Commercial Finance and Credit Control teams to ensure consistent, clear and accurate information.
Providing advice and guidance to more junior colleagues as and when required.
You must be able to demonstrate the following:
•Excellent stakeholder management skills both internally and externally.
•Strong analytical skills and commercial understanding.
•Strong prioritisation skills – able to manage conflicting requirements to tight deadlines and distinguish the urgent and important tasks
•Excellent understanding of Excel - Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF etc.
•Experience of using multiple systems
•Ability to maintain Customer Confidentiality and hold Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance
•Accounting Qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACMA, ACCA) - would suit newly qualified.
•Finance transformation experience, particularly implementation of new billing systems.
•Mobile telecommunications experience.
