Our Team:

The Cloud and Security organisation in Vodafone Group is continuously growing to meet the demand of our customers in the space of Cloud Products and Solutions, where we strive to innovate and stay at the forefront of our industry.

In our Cloud Development team, we invent and build solutions in several Cloud technologies and work as a distributed team of talented individuals across the world.

The Lead Cloud Developer is responsible for setting and maintaining the standard for high quality code across the Cloud Development teams and ensuring that technical excellence is at the core of our delivery. This role is expected to contribute in key areas of development as well as provide technical steer to the Cloud Developers in our Scrum teams.

The Lead Cloud Developer is also expected to manage the Cloud Developers in the Agile teams and continuously help them grow and develop their technical skills.

With us you will:

  • Hands-on development in:
    • VMware workflow development in VRA, VRO with Javascript
    • vROPs
    • Windows/Linux Server
    • NSX development, ESX Hypervisor
    • Automation tools (eg Puppet)
    • Scripting (Powershell, Bash)
  • Setting and maintaining technical excellence and coding standards
  • Contributing to technical feasibility assessments and shaping of the Technical Roadmap
  • Line Management of Cloud Developers

Apply if you have:

  • Master / Degree level qualification in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Enterprise level Private/Public Cloud build, troubleshooting and design experience with VRA, VRO
  • Preferably valid VCP-DCV or VCP-NV professional qualification
  • Qualified in complimentary technologies (RHCE/A, LPIC, MCSE, CCNA) desirable.
