The IT Operations Specialist will work within an ITIL based framework to manage, coordinate and drive virtual resources in order to restore normal service operations for all customers, minimising disruption to the business during Major Incidents. Working with the Shared Services Operations & Change Lead, suppliers and partners the Service Manager will ensure UK Ops services  are available, stable and operational & customer SLAs are met.


The IT Operations Specialist is responsible for the service relationships with key areas, and is accountable for proactively driving improvement and development of the service. The IT Operations Specialist manages the customers service level expectations and monitors, reports on and drives service performance on behalf of Enterprise IT through relevant Vodafone teams. 


In addition, you will be required to:


  • To ensure investigation and analysis is carried out against a full range of issues across Consumer and Enterprise Technology.
  • To identify underlying root causes, ensure corrective actions and eradication measures are identified and implemented to reduce reoccurrence of Major Incidents or mitigate their impact.
  • To deliver appropriate processes, reporting, SLA’s and contribute to the definition and improvement of the incident and problem management methodologies within Consumer and Enterprise IT delivering improvements to all customers.


What’s needed?


  • Business Intelligence experience/working Knowledge – Reporting, ETL, Migration and Data querying.
  • Experience working with BI tools – such as QlikView, Tableau, Power BI, SAS, or Business Objects (highly desirable).
  • Experience of interpreting data and building user stories.
  • Proven great customer service experience.
  • Proven logical Problem solving skills.
  • Proven Project Management / coordination experience.
