Long Description

Role: IP Technical Lead 
Location: London, Paddington

To provide technical expertise, and practical insight to the Group Patent Team and wider IP and Litigation Team. Working with the Vodafone Patent Attorneys and the global technical community to contribute to Vodafone’s patent portfolio development, portfolio utilisation and value creation, and third party threat risk mitigation.

With us you will:
-Invention submission management – operational responsibility for Vodafone’s global invention submission process, from idea submission to filing decision, including working with inventors and Patent Attorneys and other key stakeholders to create technically and commercially high-quality disclosures.
-Support shaping of existing patent portfolio – working with Patent Attorneys, technical experts and other stakeholders to align the patent portfolio with Vodafone’s commercial and IP strategy.
-Technical expert network – develop a network of technical experts to support Vodafone’s IP strategy.
-Open Source Software support – supporting and educating technical and legal colleagues on OSS compliance.
-Inventor Reward management – managing reward and recognition of inventors in accordance with the Vodafone Inventor Reward Plan.

It would be nice if you are:
-Highly organised and able to manage multiple, time critical tasks effectively.
-Able to understand and distil complex technical and scientific information clearly and concisely.
-A good communicator.
-Interested or experienced in patents.
