Job Title: IoT Software Architect

The IoT Software Architect will interface with people from Product, Marketing, Commercial bringing technical knowledge and getting a clear understanding of what is achievable relying on existing capabilities of the Vodafone Consumer IoT platform and what instead needs to be built from scratch.
In Vodafone, we believe in the values of agile delivery, therefore the IoT Software Architect will run proof-of-concepts to technically prove the business ideas and will support the delivery functions by identifying all the key stakeholders required in the technical delivery of the business idea. He/She will deliver the technical end-to-end design artefacts translating the business demand into technical requirements by involving all the relevant architects responsible of the different capabilities of the Consumer IoT platform, as well as architects of other Vodafone departments and/or external platforms/hardware partners.
In order to best support the incoming business demand, the IoT Software Architect will need to master an absolute knowledge of all the Consumer IoT platform capabilities as well as other Vodafone enabling platform capabilities (e.g. Identity Platform capabilities, Payment Platform capabilities) by joining update sessions organized by the different architects of those platforms and by actively consuming the platforms documentation.
The person covering this role will also review the technical performances of the different business ideas bringing ideas and recommendations to the different Consumer IoT Platform capabilities teams with the goal of continuously improve the products. Therefore, strong analytical, functional, technical and communication skills are imperative for this role, as the role will interface with people and teams with different backgrounds and needs across multiple locations around the globe.
• Strong knowledge of IoT mobile apps and platforms
• Interpret business challenges and technical issues and effectively communicate how a solution will align to their needs and requirements
• Deliver the end-to-end design artefacts to satisfy the business demand translating the business requirements into technical requirements
• Understand the capabilities of the Consumer IoT platform and IoT technologies adopted within the V by Vodafone ecosystem
• Must have a balanced mix of comprehensive technical and business skills
