Role purpose
The Infrastructure Technical Specialists’ prime responsibility is to provide technical guidance to all parties on the Infrastructure Roadmap and provide infrastructure solutions against requested demand.  

The role ensures that all deployments and upgrades of infrastructure are performed in a way that complies with the strategies set out in order that Vodafone UK can reach the Infrastructure Vision. The role will involve working with technical leads, architecture, delivery teams, operational staff, Vodafone Group, business representatives and third party vendors to deploy solutions according to our Infrastructure IT roadmap and technical direction.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership 
  • Implementation of the IT roadmap for Infrastructure, including Cloud migration
  • Technical assessment & design of infrastructure solutions
  • Cloud service design
  • Strategic project technical support and guidance
  • Implementation of opportunities for continuous improvement in the infrastructure provisioning process
Qualifications/Experience Desired
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Must have VMware and Hypervisor experience 
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to simplify technical detail 
  • Experience in enterprise scale infrastructure support
  • Exposure and strong experience to cloud based infrastructure provisions e.g. AWS, Azure, Rackspace
