Finance Business Partner – Enterprise Business Cases

This is a key business-partnering role influencing the financial and commercial reaction of the decision making process in Group Enterprise Operations. Working directly with business owners, this role will facilitate efficient and effective decisions to optimise performance to ensure the operation/function maximises their return on investment.
The role holder will lead the development of robust business cases through commercial modelling and ensure that relevant financial assumptions are included in reporting controls to enable analysis against plan and drive performance.
The key measurement of this role will be looking at the RoI (Return on Investment) and Payback of business cases and overall investment decisions.
Imagine Dragon’s Den – this role supports the Dragons, providing them with the analysis and critical information on each investment/project so they can make the right call.
- Creating business cases for transformation initiatives, ensuring clear ownership of benefits.
- Ensuring an effective finance control environment is in place with ability to track delivery and benefits and undertake post investment evaluation
- Responsible for reporting and analysing performance against plan; creating timely, relevant and actionable insight to drive enhanced business performance
- Input into monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and forecasting cycles, including all commentaries and preparation of Executive review packs (to Ex.Co. standard).
Previous work on supporting investment decisions and business cases in a large complex organisation is important.
A previous background in the Telco or Digital Technology industries is going to be important to successfully picking up this role.
- Experience working with complex Bids or Pricing would be advantageous.
This role does not require ACA or ACCA qualifications, but you should have worked in a Commercial Finance role previously.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills are going to be essential.
A very proactive attitude supported with investigative tendencies will perform well in this role.
