Role purpose 

Working as an Enterprise Architect within the UK IT Architecture team, you will be creating end to end cross functional architectures that meet the UK business requirements, whilst ensuring compliance with the target Global reference architecture and UK architectural principles. 
You will be expected to engage with a wide range of stakeholders including project teams, IT specialist architects and the Vodafone business, service operations, technology partners and Vodafone Group Architecture/Technology.

Your work as an Enterprise Architect will include:
  • In conjunction with vendors, business stakeholders and IT subject matter experts defining end state and transition state architectures aligned with business needs
  • Creating roadmaps for the achievement of future state architectures, aligned with business priorities and funding envelopes
  • Architecting capabilities to meet the needs of internal business functions, Vodafone products and services and Vodafone Partners in a dynamically changing technology Landscape  
  • Identifying solutions to fill capability gaps, leading vendor selection activities and ensuring stakeholder buy in
Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
  • Understanding of what it means to be a “digital telco”
  • Understanding of multi-channel customer service. 
  • Demonstrated Technology background with associated academic technical qualification and/or experience
  • Technical competency of solution design – hands on experience of creating high level designs for major projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to present architecture concepts in easy to understand business language
  • Strong analytical skills – ability to understand and present the pros and cons of decisions in a confident manner
  • TOGAF certification
