About the role

Working within the Enterprise digital team, this role is pivotal in delivering Vodafone’s ambitions within the fixed line Market. The successful candidate will be accountable for the digital commercial performance of Vodafone’s fixed Line offering. A fantastic opportunity to shape and develop the future sales plan and deliver the strategy for Digital growth.

The Ecommerce/Digital Sales Manager will lead the trading execution for the digital channels across the enterprise portfolio. Working alongside colleagues in product, marketing and digital production to define the proposition, and capability teams to influence the technical strategy. They must provide alignment between channel, segment, and technology plans to ensure the annual budget can be met while escalating any challenges where necessary. 

Passionate about engaging with consumers in a digital way the category manager will be at the forefront of Vodafone’s fixed line sales ensuring we make the most of every customer interaction. Executing with a digital-first mentality and becoming a change agent, inspiring colleagues to think in different ways. Excited by the bigger picture and long term plan, but cares enough about the detail and right first time mentality.  


As an Ecommerce/Digital Sales Manager your main responsibilities will include:
  • Accountability for the delivery of assigned commercial performance metrics. Including sales volumes, channel share, market share, revenue and profitability
  • On-site optimisation, working closely with Web Analytics & Digital Production to convert traffic into sales and revenue as efficiently as possible – ultimately delivering against all key metrics
  • Development roadmap, influencing the wider Digital organisation to deliver the online capability development plan, focusing on personalised customer journeys
  • Own, manage and communicate all category online trading performance 
  • Long term sales forecasting and in month / quarter trading performance and planning
  • Build and optimise a best in class customer experience, working with capability and experience team, measured through channel NPS

To be successful in this role ideally you will have the following experience:
  • Experience of working within a digital environment, preferably within a commercial sector 
  • Degree educated in a commercial or numerate discipline or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills to persuade and influence within a matrix organisation
  • Understanding and experience of the UK fixed line 
  • Proven track record ecommerce/digital sales role
