About the role

Working within the E-Commerce team, the Digital Category Manger – Upgrades will be responsible for defining, initiating, and tracking the delivery of initiatives to increase the volume of upgrades done through Digital channels, whilst not reducing the value of those customers to Vodafone.  

This to be achieved through 3 key areas:
  • On-site optimisation…. working closely with Web Analytics & Digital Production to convert traffic into sales and revenue as efficiently as possible – ultimately delivering against all key DB metrics
  • Development roadmap……. influencing the wider Digital organisation to deliver the online capability development plan, focusing on personalised customer journeys
  • Multi-Channel strategy…. working closely with the rest of enterprise marketing team to deliver a truly cross-channel customer experience. 

Accountabilities:
  • On-site optimisation…. working closely with Web Analytics & Digital Production to convert traffic into sales and revenue as efficiently as possible – ultimately delivering against all key DB metrics
  • Delivering Enterprise (EBU) retention targets for mobile including creating, agreeing and overseeing Digital execution plans to deliver commercial sales targets 
  • Deliver the EBU SMB retention targets
  • Driving improvements to the upgrades journeys through working closely with the User Experience team within Digital, as well as key Technology stakeholders
  • Developing relations with the production, marketing and user experience teams to deliver offers to the market and ensure the customer journey is optimised to deliver increased customer satisfaction and maximise commercial return.

Your key skills and experience will ideally include:
  • Creating, agreeing and overseeing digital execution plans to deliver commercial sales targets
  • In depth understanding of concepts and procedures within retention and digital
  • A university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience within the digital space
  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills to persuade and influence
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Strong planning skills
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a data driven approach to measuring the effectiveness of change and continually optimise activity to achieve a strong ROI.  They will be a subject matter expert and be able to articulate this to stakeholders and internal customers. 

This role requires both a strategic and creative mind set with a proven success in driving consumer behaviour and finding new avenues for driving revenue and brand visibility. A quick learner, they’ll be comfortable with numbers and have excellent attention to detail, as well drive and enthusiasm.
