What’s the role?


These fantastic opportunities are part of a newly formed team, built for the purpose for supporting Vodafone’s progression into a fully automated environment. The team dynamic will consist of a varied skill set, we are happy to consider a wide range of experiences ranging from junior candidates upwards. In addition to this, we will also consider a range of backgrounds including; Automations Testers (with Selenium or similar experience), Operations focused candidates with scripting experience (Sysadmin) or Developers from any traditional coding language backgrounds.


As a Developer you will work collaboratively as part of scrum teams. Primarily using the Pega 7/8 platform and Cortex platforms to automate business, IT and technical processes. Direct working experience of Pega would be beneficial but not a pre-requisite to applications. The UK Automation CoE is one of the areas’ we are investing in and leading this change using cutting edge, market leading technologies to develop ‘no-code’ and ‘low-code’ applications to automate activity across our business. 


In addition, you will be required to:

  • Develop new and extend existing capability, aligned to best practices.
    Actively and collaboratively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies.
  • Design, Develop and Test of user stories.
  • Work closely with stakeholders.
  • Ensures that IT system changes are deployed into production in a controlled manner.  

What’s needed? 

  • Experience of working in an Agile (SCRUM) development environment.
    Commercial experience in Automation Testing (Selenium), Scripting or traditional object-orientated coding.
  • Manage senior stakeholders, influence decisions & scope.
  • Customer insight and ability to problem solve issues to deliver new functionality.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills.
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent or Industry recognised certification (desirable).
