Role purpose:

  • Operationalising the data analytics roadmap for internal audit function.

  • Scoping, planning, delivery and reporting on Data Analytics activities as a part of audits.

  • Training the wider community and contributing to advanced analytics capability across the audit function in Vodafone.

  • Creating Advanced Analytics products in ACL and other tools as part of audits that provide actionable business insight to Internal Audit and function and its stakeholders.

  • Developing reusable scripts in ACL and other tools with large and varied datasets, working with a community of colleagues across Advanced Analytics, technology, data and customer functions.


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Uses a variety of datasets to test hypotheses and provide actionable insights to Internal Audit function as a part of audits

  • Design, develop and implement data collection, data analytics and other strategies for reusability in audits and for continuous controls monitoring.

  • Uses data visualisation to engage audience in a compelling way, enabling effective storytelling

  • Closely work with local market audit teams on analytics to deliver impactful audits

  • Continuous engagement and partnering with Technology, group BI and analytics teams to leverage on ongoing initiatives and ensure integrated approach

  • Continuous engagement with DA knowledge champions from local market audit teams to guide, support and increase penetration of DA in local market audits.

  • Contributes to the development and training of self and others across the global analytics community, ensuring Advanced Analytics is always evolving and at the cutting edge


Apply if you have:

  • Experience manipulating and analysing large and complex datasets.

  • Experience in visualisation, creating graphical static and interactive displays of data that clearly communicate insight (preferred).

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multinational functional teams.

  • Analytical and expansive thinking with a strong desire to deliver and develop.

  • Knowledge of SAP and business processes would be preferred.

  • Proven ability to self-start and effectively manage own workload to deliver a series of assignment.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience of IT audit in a professional services environment.

  • Willingness of learning new skill sets as needed to perform challenging and complex tasks.


We’re happy if you have:

  • Expertise in data manipulation and analytics tool ACL for structured data.

  • Intermediate/Advanced analytics capability in Microsoft Office Excel/Access and SQL.

  • Familiar with tools to perform analytics on unstructured data – R, Python.

  • Familiar with visualisation tools – Qlik, Tableau

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in fields like, Computer Science or Engineering,

  • Interest in machine learning and Artificial intelligence
