Vodafone UK’s Consumer Services and Innovation team takes ideas from concept through launch and to in-life management.  Our range of services include OneNumber, V by Vodafone, Content partnerships (Red Entertainment), Secure Net.   

Within CS&I, The Content Team is responsible for UK’s content strategies and the acquisition of content to populate Vodafone services.  The team manages partnerships with high profile market-leading brands in the entertainment arena and is responsible for ensuring Vodafone has the leading customer propositions in this area.   

In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Own and deliver Vodafone's cross-platform content strategy and input into wider VF strategy
  • Own and manage entertainment commercial partnerships and implementation of services 
  • Champion the customer experience through continued product improvement 
  • Develop market-leading co-marketing plans with key partners  
  • Manage Vodafone UK content partnerships with named content providers, and coordinate across internal teams to ensure VF’s propositions, technology and approach are consistent with rights deals
  • Identify potential new propositions and take them through feasibility and business case
  • Develop negotiation strategies and carry out associated analysis to contribute to making the right commercial decisions
  • Stay abreast of rights, technology and editorial trends in the content arena, and in competitors, consumer behaviour and technology, to identify opportunities and threats
  • Develop the customer experience to ensure it is one to be proud of and is rated highly by our customers
  • Work with Technology and Customer Experience teams to drive customer experience improvement  
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of content acquisition and digital media with broadcasters and / or studios
  • Experience in contract negotiation
  • Proven track record in commercial roles
  • Technical acumen in the relevant area
  • Good project management skills 
  • Experience of mobile and fixed communications 
  • Ability to communicate and engage across the business across all levels of stakeholders 
Desirable skills (not essential)/knowledge
  • Project management skills in complex environment
  • Business Analysis proficiency
  • Strong and proven contract negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of the mobile and related industries, as well as general strategy issues, approaches and typical solutions
  • Good knowledge of the relevant adjacent industries, as well as general strategy issues, approaches and typical solutions
