About the role

This is an exciting and unique role allowing you to develop and own the mobile and fixed network investment strategy on behalf of UK Consumer. 

As Networks Product Manager you are responsible for the performance and development of this product set, including trading performance, the end-to-end life cycle management of Consumer network proposition roadmap. 

You will collaborate closely with colleagues in the Technology function, and more broadly across Consumer segment, Commercial, Insight, UK Strategy and Enterprise; to develop the most effective network plans in order to achieve both commercial and customer experience targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with Consumer, Insight, & the wider Commercial Management function; develop a deep understanding of customer needs from, and future demand into, the fixed & mobile networks – including against customer segment, geography & technology
  • Own the fixed & mobile network planning & governance processes for the business (to include capex prioritisation) in accordance with wider commercial priorities
  • Develop a clear roadmap of network based activities that drives differentiation – including in home coverage, 4G roll out, Carrier Aggregation, Festivals and events coverage, Fixed Access developments, Internet of things etc – and act as subject matter expert for the Consumer 
  • Provide insight into product performance, as well as analysis of relevant technology evolution, competition, market dynamics and major developments 
  • Own and lead continuous improvement activities for their product to exploit revenue and Net Promoter Score (NPS) opportunities

Essential Key Skills/Experience:

  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent 
  • Strong commercial business understanding
  • Product management experience
  • Customer obsessed with excellent insight into market and customer needs and the drivers of customer experience 
  • Ability to build relationships, manage & influence diverse stakeholder groups, right across the organisation, & at a senior level
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo, & (working on own initiative) be a strong advocate for change, driving innovation to ensure Vodafone is differentiated in the market
  • Technical acumen (subject matter expertise but not required to be the technical expert) in the relevant product area

We would rate you even higher if you have the following Skills/ Experience

  • Strong commercial acumen & analytical skills, with knowledge of key value drivers across the Vodafone UK Consumer business
  • Telco experience
