As a Communications Specialist, We’re looking for someone who is a team player, but also comfortable working on their own, while proactively creating highly quality outputs, often on tight deadlines. You’ll be a news junky who is well versed on current affairs and how they impact businesses around the world.
You will be supporting and, in time, developing PR and content strategies to generate positive coverage and awareness for Vodafone Business. The right candidate will already have the proven ability to think creatively to generate content and stories that will have impact. Savvy in the use of social media, ideally from a business perspective, you’ll be able to bring new ideas and the latest digital trends to the team.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership
- Supporting the global media relations programme for Vodafone Business
Writing content that tells the Vodafone Business story and drives our messaging and positioning in the market
Working with colleagues across the organisation to find stories of interest and to provide timely responses to media requests
Helping to develop content and thought leadership that makes an impact externally
- Working with our PR agency
Bringing in the latest digital trends and new, creative ideas to continually evolve the external communications programme
Managing the team activity tracker, taking notes and actions in team meetings
Monitoring for media coverage and compiling reports to demonstrate results
Experience in media relations a must, in a PR agency environment, as a journalist or in a technology in-house role
A true relationship builder who understands the value of working with press beyond announcements
Positive & can-do attitude, proactive and resilient with the ability to remain calm when under pressure
Experience working with journalists to build relationships and land stories
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Good influencing ability, confident
- Builds effective relationships
Exercises good judgement and discretion/ confidentiality when required
- Demonstrates strong technology sector knowledge
