Achieve your ambitions. A world leading total communications company with operations in 100 countries is recruiting for a Commercial Assurance Manager within its Cloud Operations, where you will be taking a senior position and will be responsible for assuring and managing the commercial risk within a $0.5bn Venture and Vodafone end customer’s contract relationships across the Venture, key suppliers and Customers.

 

Your skill as an intelligent buyer of service contracts in a business to business situation will be pivotal to success. Relationship building and contract bid management, combined with your knowledge of business cloud technologies, will play a crucial role in the growth of Vodafone Group Enterprise. You will have the opportunity to manage commercial risk based decisions that have multi-million pound implications. You will understand Governance best practice and lead projects to optimise its process.

What will you be doing?

 

  • Impact the business: you will define and execute the commercial buying strategy for Vodafone Group’s most exciting strategic Venture
  • You will implement new tools and process to enable automated governance approval process for standard offerings that ensure the commercial obligations and risk resides with the correct party
  • Thinking strategically: Vodafone is multi-homed with deep local presence, structured and resourced to support the global operations of today’s borderless enterprise
  • Delivering tactically: You will ensure Vodafone and the Venture delivers against their own contractual commitments
  • Profitability gate holder: The role has distinct contract revenue and profit targets which fit within (and contribute to) the overall Venture P&L
  • Be the customer: You will be the trusted commercial advisor to the customer commercial teams and Vodafone’s internal stakeholders, inspiring confidence and trust
  • Be networked: Engage with local influencers and decision makers to assist in local, regional and global growth
Who are we looking for?

 

  • Experience in Smart / intelligent buyer role, working in a B2B / enterprise services environment
  • Experience in senior commercial / Supplier facing role
  • Bid, commercial and Governance (deal negotiations, contract & change management) experience
  • Experience in commercial delivery of contracts, preferably in Hosting and Cloud 
  • Excellent relationship builder, with the necessary personal impact to build credibility with customers, the account team and Sales Leadership
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to Executive-level
  • Ability to identify broken/sub-optimal processes and implement  changes
  • Strong coaching skills and demonstrable ability to deliver though non ‘Direct Reports’
  • Experienced in reading , & improving P+L’s with complex cost structures
