They see high quality Cloud services as a core enabler of these changes, and are turning to us for professional services support to navigate their transition to the Public Cloud.
Vodafone and IBM have signed a new venture, which began in May 2019 bringing together Vodafone’s global connectivity, IBM’s world-class IT capabilities and the scale of two industry leaders, offering a powerful combination that will not only reposition our Cloud business but also underpin our evolution into a digital services provider.
Our partnership with IBM provides the catalyst we need to scale at speed and is the logical next step on our Cloud journey. It will provide a radically simpler approach, allowing us to redirect investment from building and running Cloud services ourselves to creating value by integrating Cloud with connectivity.

Your role will be:

To support the implementation of the key benefits, VBIT requires an experienced Billing Technical Delivery Lead to support the definition of the vision and the roadmap strategy for Enterprise under the leadership of the Billing Domain Delivery Lead. The right person will notably collaborate with the rogramme Manager, own the relationships with the 3rd parties (IBM, local markets and suppliers) and work closely with Cirrus Project Managers, the E2E Test Manager and VBIT Delivery Lead, executing all aspects of a diverse, complex billing projects individually and as shared capability across multiple large-scale VBIT projects.

 

This includes:
• Project planning, technology, re-usable capabilities, stakeholder management, project execution, achieve high data quality, communication and cost management.
In addition, the Billing Technical Delivery Lead monitors and manages project/programme by identifying at an early stage the critical paths, contingencies, scope changes and budget, risks both labour and non-labour.
• He/she undertakes these projects from the original concept through the final implementation.
• He/she has overall accountability for ensuring on time and on-budget delivery of new and enhanced re-usable end-to-end data billing capabilities that meet or exceed expectations.
• Provide solution direction and guidance to other project architects and technical staff.   Interact with, plan and monitor technical departments effort to implement successful delivery of the solutions.

 

We're happy if you have:
• Successful track record in delivering complex billing projects in a Global Telco environment on time, on budget and with the highest quality data. Enterprise (B2B) preferred.
• Deep technical /architecture background in billing coupled with telecom process understanding. Ability to understand and challenge functional / technical solution specifications and programmes that need delivery alignment.
• Experience in delivering projects in Waterfall, Agile and hybrid methodologies; can act as Scrum Master.

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Senior project management qualifications, or extensive experience
• Strong billing expertise,  technology / solution experience
• Degree standard education
