About your role

This role will work with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to support the generation of actionable insights; developing models that answer business questions and generate new commercial opportunities. 
The Data Analyst will manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets; presenting their findings clearly and accessibly, in the form of reports and spoken communications with colleagues and stakeholders.  

Key accountabilities:

- Mine and analyse large datasets, draw valid inferences and present them successfully to stakeholders using reporting tools 
- Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes 
- Identify, evaluate and implement external services and tools to support data validation and cleansing 
- Produce and track key performance indicators and reporting processes 
- Support data scientists and data engineers in the generation of models and data driven products

Your skills and qualifications will include:

- Studied Statistics, Physics, Maths, Engineering, Econometrics, Macroeconomics or any other relevant field 
- Proficient in SQL, Excel, SAS and SPSS (essential)
- Experience in Big Data Tools such as R, Python and Hadoop/ Hive/ Impala
