Salary:     £11.05 per hour (£23,000 per annum) plus profit share reward scheme 

Hours:     40hrs per week including bank holidays and weekends

What will you be doing? 

We are seeking a motivated and sales oriented Retail Assistant Manager to join our growing team in our Vodafone Middlesborough Cleveland Centre Partner store.  In this role you will be supporting the Store Manager in managing a team of fantastic Retail Advisers, making sure to do all you can to help them achieve their potential. You will be helping with back office tasks such as holidays and rotas. You will be setting the sales floor ablaze with your enthusiasm to lead by example.

It can be a demanding role and you’ll need to be able to commit to some weekend work as well as week days, but for the right person, it’s an amazing opportunity to work for one of the UK’s most valuable brands.

“Hi, I’m Brooke, emphasis on the ‘oo’ as I’m your typical Stokie! Before joining Vodafone, I was a typical X-Factor introduction, juggling university and working in a supermarket. Fast-forward and I completed my degree, had a fantastic graduation and was ready for the next part of my life. Did I know what that was? Absolutely not. I had never worked in sales before, but I was always told I had the gift of the gab! I saw a job post for Vodafone and based on what my friends and family had told me, it sounded like a fantastic place to work. So, I chucked on my suit, went for an interview and left the Stoke site thinking “wow I want to work here.” They say it’s a blessing to feel everything so deeply, from the sweat on my palms from the moment recruitment welcomed me, to walking out of those revolving doors trying my best not to faceplant them. I felt alive. I knew I could push myself here and I knew it was everything I had wanted from a job. From working in a team, to competing in incentives, every day was a school day and I just continued to learn. Very quickly may I add. I was a Telesales Adviser for the best part of 12 months, but I knew from day one that I wanted more. In short, I joined the Academy as a Floorwalker which is what it says on the tin, you walk the floor and support new recruits. I quickly progressed to have my own team in a coaching role and at the same momentum, within 5 months I became the Academy Manager. This has been my biggest achievement at Vodafone, and even though my partner tells me I’m still bossy when I finish work, I stand by my initial gut feeling that Vodafone is the place for me. My team is growing at the same pace as my personal life. I recently climbed Snowdon, proposed to my partner and completed Aspire which is our management programme. I love giving people opportunities - from developing my team to hiring new recruits. This job is everything from rewarding to satisfying and it keeps me on my toes! Chloe Mulligan joined Vodafone as a Project Coordinator within Project & Programmes and quickly gained a wide range of experience while working on different programmes and managing bespoke and complex elements of delivery. Having already gained a Project Management degree and relevant experience within a previous telco, Chloe had big aspirations to progress along the Professional Services career path. With the guidance of a super mentor, and support from experienced colleagues, Chloe was able to learn, experience, gather feedback and improve in the role.
