As part of the 3rd Line Operations IP Networks team at Vodafone you will be responsible for ensuring we adhere to our life cycle management responsibilities.
To maintain the domain infrastructure throughout its lifecycle in order to ensure Services are delivered at the required level of availability and performance through pro-active service assurance. You will be contributing to the Customer Services and wider business objectives to improve the management of our network infrastructure across much of our core and customer networks.
Provide input to and assist with the introduction of new services and changes to existing infrastructure to ensure life cycle management responsibilities are considered and driven forward.
Deliver directly and through the 3rd line IP Networks Operations team an assessment and response to all security vulnerabilities that are raised through a number of sources. This is both reactive responses but also the proactive management of live vulnerabilities found by the operational, security or engineering teams, as part of a wider LCM team across Technology.
Review and assess configuration, patching and roadmap requirements across the same IP network infrastructure, to ensure we deliver against our regulatory requirements for lifecycle management of our products and services. This includes working with our Product, Engineering and Account teams to deliver roadmaps and financing for ensuring we manage infrastructure the is approaching end of life milestones.
Manage implementation of mitigation and patching solutions either directly through the 3rd line team or where appropriate via onshore and offshore implementation teams.
Actively take part in testing new elements, builds and services to ensure support requirements are adhered to.
Assist project teams during the stability period to ensure support calls are resolved.
Provide advice and guidance to less experienced team members and colleagues where required.
Ensure that first line and second line teams are equipped to provide effective support via basic guidance, training, presentation and mentoring.
Provide clear and concise communications to management including senior management and other teams at all times.
Report on/analyse the KPI metrics and lead investigations into the issues affecting these KPIs
Working on Core and Secure infrastructure where Security Clearance accreditation is a fundamental requirement.
