Our People Networks
Armed Forces Network
The Armed Forces Network at Vodafone is the home for ex-servicemen and women, veterans, reservists, families and friends of those serving – past and present. Also, other branches of disciplined government services such as Police, Ambulance and Fire Services
The family feel of the community gives a support network for all. Over the last year, the network has supported the transition for those leaving the military and looking to find employment by supporting through interview preparation and hosting work placements, alongside supporting those that have joined Vodafone in their transition. Vodafone held an Armed Forces day, where we had activities across all sites. Including events sponsored by local Reserve units and talks supported by Help for Hero's.
We carry Gold status for the Armed Forces covenant; The Armed Forces Covenant is the UK's official commitment to our military in the UK.
LGBT+ Friends Network
The LGBT+ Friends Network works to connect and support our people on lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT+) matters, whatever their background and wherever they are. We champion inclusion and celebrate diversity at work and in the community – all part of our approach to support our people to be at their best and have a great experience working here.
Our Network is open to everyone, whether they identify as LGBT+ themselves or not and supports all employees who may need advice or guidance. It’s a place where anyone can play a part in making a positive difference to our workplace, to our customers and to the communities we’re part of.
Multicultural Inclusion Network
We want everyone here at Vodafone regardless of Race, Ethnicity or Nationality to feel part of the organisation, so The Multicultural Inclusion Network is here to ensure Vodafone employees have a true sense of belonging. With representation throughout the UK, we hold various events to celebrate and educate all of our employees which brings us closer and to have a better understanding of one another.We also recognise as an organisation we need to support our BAME colleagues and ensure that we have in place strong engagement around careers here at Vodafone.
Vodafone’s Women’s Network exists to bring together people from across the organisation to advance women at Vodafone UK and beyond. The Women’s Network is open to everyone – not just women – with the belief that it’s crucial to ensure that men are part of the improvements we make.
The Women’s Network have provided continuous support for Vodafone’s involvement in the #HeForShe campaign, promoting the advancement of women more broadly. We celebrated International Women’s Day in style with a historic event co-chaired by Gabby Logan and Sir Chris Hoy and will be working to promote the female agenda even further in 2020.
The VodABILITY Inclusion network is a new network that focuses on #UnlimitingPeople. We’re here to provide support & raise awareness for all types of disability & wellbeing, including physical, mental, visible, non-visible & neurodiverse,
We will champion an inclusive workplace that drives, supports & enables understanding of disability, allowing every colleague to thrive, without exception.
The AbiliTEAM will achieve this by:
Providing readily available support for people directly & indirectly affected by all types of disability and connecting them to those who can help. Understanding what activities & support are already in place, raising awareness of these and driving new events & initiatives for gaps, we identify to break down barriers and remove the stigma. Providing regular positive conversation about why we are here, what we are doing to help, and what is available through both Vodafone and external organisations.

Our award-winning ReConnect programme is designed to help people get back to work. Placing career returners in all kinds of roles including; Technology, Business Management, Marketing, HR and Legal Specialists. At Vodafone, we’re succeeding in bringing talented people back to work for one of the top employers in the UK – all through ReConnect.
The programme provides the support you'll need to find your feet, this includes 5 days’ pay for 4 days’ work per week. Additionally, we have a wide range of online learning resources on core skills and working practices to help you get back in the groove.

Our world-leading global maternity policy
Our global pioneering maternity policy offers all women at Vodafone a minimum of 16 weeks fully paid maternity leave, and when they return to work they can opt to work 30 hours per week on full pay. This support saves families billions worldwide and their babies gain 608 million additional days with their mothers.
