About our programme

Our Apprenticeship Programme lets you work for one of the most exciting companies in the UK while developing your skills and knowledge with real industry experts. With programmes for those educated to both GCSE and A Level standard, it’s a fantastic opportunity to kick start your career, be paid for your time and earn valuable, real-world experience while you study.

We offer Advanced, Higher & Degree Apprenticeships Level 2, 3, 4 & 6 and have opportunities across various locations in the UK which include London, Newbury and Manchester. Specific locations for each programme and stream are stated upon application.

                What you can achieve

You’ll spend between 12 – 48 months in a variety of different learning environments whilst you have the chance to achieve a full qualification in your field – from an Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3), a Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4) or BSc Degree in our Technology space.

If you excel and show us that you have what it takes, you have the opportunity to further progress your career with us after the programme.

                      Role Shadowing

You’ll shadow experts in a wide range of roles within your specialty. But you won’t just be observing. Whether it’s within the safe learning environment of our training centers or out in the field, you’ll work alongside the very best and learn first-hand how we fulfill our customers’ needs.

                      What you'll need

• A valid passport/birth certificate/residence permit and NI number
• To have lived in the UK and/or EEA for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date
• Not to be undertaking another apprenticeship at the same time
• To meet the minimum academic requirements which will vary with each of our programmes and is listed when applying

Technology Apprenticeships

Data Analyst

Level 4 over 24 months

Are you the kind of person who loves detail and analysing what it is telling you? The primary role of a data analyst is to collect, organise and study data to provide business insight. Data analysts are typically involved with managing, cleansing, abstracting and aggregating data. They will document and report the results of data analysis activities making recommendations to improve business performance.

Software Developer

Level 4 over 24 months

Are you logical, methodical and creative? The primary role of a software developer is to build and test simple, high-quality code across front end, logic and database layers. A developer will typically be working as part of a larger team, in which they will have responsibility for different elements of an overall project.


Cyber Security

Level 4 & 6 over 18 - 24 months

Are you the type of person who likes to investigate suspicious activity or a change to a normal pattern? The primary role of a cyber-security technologist is to apply an understanding of cyber threats, hazards, risks, controls, measures and mitigations to protect organisations systems and people.

Network Engineer

Level 4 over 24 months

Do you love problem solving? Are you organised and methodical? The main role of the network engineers is to design, install, maintain and support communication networks to maintain high levels of operation in order to provide maximum performance and availability for their users. They will understand network configuration and administration, cloud, and monitoring tools, and be able to give technical advice and guidance.


Software Tester

Level 4 over 24 months

Are you analytical, logically minded and love finding and fixing bugs in software? If you check these boxes, the Software Tester Level 4 Apprenticeship might be for you! The primary role of a Software Tester is to find issues within a product before it is deployed to users by using various programming and coding languages. Testers document and report the outcome of all testing activity and have a good understanding of software lifecycles and development practices.

Unified Communications

Level 3 over 15 - 18 months

Are you a self-starter, have a curious mind and a desire to fix anything? The Unified Communications Apprenticeship might be a great option for you! Unified Communications apprentices work as field engineers, evaluating system specifications in line with customer requirements and building, testing and maintaining Vodafone’s network. For this role, we need individuals with great communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work in a focused but flexible manner to meet tight deadlines. Some roles require you to drive a Vodafone branded commercial vehicle, so you must be willing to travel and be comfortable working at height.

Business & Digital Apprenticeships

Digital & Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship

Level 6 over 45 – 48 months

Are you tech-savvy and excited by the growing digital world? Our Digital & Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship may be for you! This role will enable you to specialise in different areas from Data Analytics to IT consultancy and will allow you to study emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cyber Security and Data Science. You will learn to provide technology enabled solutions to internal and external customers and implement technology solutions that enable businesses to develop new products and services. 


Digital Marketing

Level 3 over 13 – 15 months

Are you interested in web design, social media, have a creative flair and want to help Vodafone stand out in the ever changing technological world? If so, keep reading! Our Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship allows you to build your practical skills, integral to becoming proficient in digital marketing roles. You will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours aligned to the apprentice standard and apply them in context.

Business Administration

Level 3 over 15-18 months

Are you a quick learner with a keen sense of collaboration and a passion for Technology? The Business Administration apprenticeship is what you’re looking for! You will have the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills to resolve business issues and offer new ideas to improve existing processes to ensure optimum efficiency. You will manage large stakeholder groups and look to make the experience of our customers the best in the business. 


Sales

Level 3 over 15+ months

Are you self-motivated, confident, great with communication and results orientated? Our Level 3 Sales Apprenticeship might be a fabulous fit for you! You will need to be good at staying calm in a pressured environment, have great customer service and be able to take initiative. You will learn skills directly related to the job you are in, which could be anything from selling products and services to our customers to analyzing competitor and buyer behavior.

Stage Two - Video Interview: If you meet the eligibility requirements for the programme you're interested in, it's time to get to know you! You will receive a link to complete a video interview, accessible from your mobile phone.



Stage Three - Assessment Day: If successful in stage 2, its time to meet you! The final stage is our Assessment Centre, now is the chance for you to show your personality and get to know us a little more too.
