Legends
Our Legends scheme sums up everything that's great about Vodafone. It's all about our people's passion. It's a celebration of the team spirit and individual effort that makes us the company we are.
These are no token awards: they recognise people who've done exceptional things in the course of their work. Still, many were surprised - even shocked - when nominated by their colleagues. (And it is the people who work alongside them, and not their managers, who put them forward.)
In 2006, from an initial 1,900 nominations across the UK business, 275 people were chosen as finalists. From these, 100 'Legends' were chosen, and duly received a fabulous all-expenses paid holiday to Dubai with their partner or a friend. Aside from the obvious attraction of the holiday, each winner loved the fact that their efforts were appreciated by the people working alongside them.
