The passion for the Vodafone brand within our retail teams is immense - if you ask people what they do, they don't say they are a Retail Adviser or Store Manager, they say "I work for Vodafone". Retail is the face of Vodafone - we take decisions every day that directly impact on the experience our customers have of Vodafone.
I was promoted to Regional manager in April 2007. I love it - working with a great set of store managers, spotting and helping talented people come through the business, and helping our teams understand what we need to do to keep providing the best customer experience on the high street.
For me, there's always a tremendous amount of variety and change. There are always exciting new product launches, new initiatives to focus on, new stores opening and people taking on new roles. And we've had some excellent training events - from a coaching and motivation course from Steve Bull, who trains the England cricket team to the NVQs all our store teams participate in. The incentives are fantastic too: in my time here, I've been lucky enough to go on trips to Morocco and Ireland, watch Champions League football and win hundreds of pounds of vouchers.
