Your CV

We receive quite a number of CVs for each role we advertise (and even a few we don't). However, even if it's just a sheet of A4, we want you to shine as you would do in person.

Hints & tips
1. These days you can write your CV in the first person (i.e. I have) or the third person (i.e. he/she has)
2. Be honest, because if we offer you the job, we'll double-check all the details on your CV and if they're not accurate we may take the offer back
3. Do mention things you are good at, but don't go over the top - we'll expect you to live up to it
4. Avoid saying negative things about yourself
5. Don't forget your reference contact details:
  a. Ideally this will be a previous employer
  b. Or if this would be your first job it could a teacher or authority figure who knows you well
  c. Just remember to ask them before you put them on there
6. Be careful when you use abbreviations - they can be misunderstood
7. Don't rush it, saving time here will probably be a false economy
8. Ask someone else to proof read it for you
